Chilton Dance Centre

Chilton Dance Centre is one of the leading secondary dance organisations in New Zealand and offers excellent training in classical and contemporary dance and other related dance styles.

The Chilton Dance Centre provides after school dance lessons and training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre Dance and Pilates to students from Preschool to Adults. 

The Dance Centre is dedicated to providing the highest standard of dance in a positive, caring environment to students, both female and male, from the wider community.

The Mission of the Chilton Dance Centre

The Chilton Dance Centre’s mission is to provide every student with an outstanding level of tuition by highly qualified teachers in a positive, caring environment with emphasis placed on enjoyment of dance, self discipline and the development of each student’s potential.

Chilton Dance Centre Facilities

The Chilton Dance Centre is situated onsite at Chilton Saint James School in the CBD of Lower Hutt City, fifteen minutes from Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand.

Wellington is renowned as the Arts and Cultural capital of New Zealand, with the New Zealand School of Dance, the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and many theatres, galleries and museums all based in Wellington.

The Chilton Dance Centre features three custom designed mirror-lined studios complete with dance floors and a 100-seat theatre.  Air conditioning, up-to-date sound systems and quality pianos are all features of the Chilton Dance Centre studios.
