Chilton Dance Centre Uniform

Chilton Dance Centre now has a range of clothing and accessories available for purchase. Currently there is a zipped hoodie, T-shirt, racer back singlet and 100% cotton tote bag for dance gear with further items to be added at a later date. Students attending competitions, workshops or seminars will be expected to wear the Dance Centre apparel and muscle back singlet will be the uniform worn by students in Hip Hop and Jazz lessons and exams. Items can be ordered by completing the order form from the School Office with payment or from your Dance Centre teacher.

Classical Ballet Lessons Uniform

Preschool, Pre- Primary, Primary:

• pink sleeveless RAD style leotard in cotton lycra
• flesh coloured ballet socks
• pink ballet shoes with ½ inch flesh elastic
• Pink RAD skirts
• a pink crossover is permitted for warmth if desired
• long hair must be tied up
• no watches or jewellery.

Grades 1 – 5:

• navy sleeveless RAD style leotard in cotton lycra
• flesh coloured ballet socks or pink ballet tights
• pink ballet shoes with ½ inch elastic, ribbons for Grades 4 – 5
• black full circle character skirt, mid calf length. Ribbons are available from the Dance Centre
• black character shoes, canvas RAD syllabus style. Cuban heels may be worn from Grade 3 upwards
• navy crossover is permitted for warmth if desired
• long hair must be tied up in a bun or similar style
• no watches or jewellery.

Grades 6 – 8:

• burgundy sleeveless leotard in cotton lycra
• pink ballet tights
• pink ballet shoes with criss-cross elastic
• black character shoes, canvas RAD syllabus style
• no watches or jewellery.

Intermediate Foundation – Advanced 2:

• black or navy sleeveless leotard
• pink ballet tights
• Intermediate Foundation - pink ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes, all with ribbons
• Intermediate and Advanced levels – pink demi pointes and pointe shoes, all with ribbons
• a navy or black crossover may be worn for warmth if desired
• long hair must be tied up in a bun or similar style
• no watches or jewellery.

Boys:

• white RAD boy’s leotard
• navy RAD shorts or navy tight - Grade levels
• navy or black tights - Vocational levels
• white socks
• white ballet shoes with ½ inch white elastic
• black lace up character shoes
• no watches or jewellery.

Contemporary/Lyrical Dance Uniform (all levels)

• leotard
• footless tights
• socks
• long hair must be tied up
• no watches or jewellery.

Jazz/Musical Theatre Uniform (all levels)

• Chilton singlet top
• black sleeveless lycra leotard
• black lycra jazz pants
• black jazz shoes (required for examinations)
• long hair must be tied up
• no watches or jewellery
• dance sneakers may only be worn in Open Jazz Class.

Tap Lessons Uniform (all levels)

• Chilton singlet top
• black sleeveless lycra leotard
• black lycra jazz pants
• tap shoes
• long hair must be tied up
• no watches or jewellery.

Hip Hop Lessons Uniform (all levels)

• Chilton singlet top
• 3/4 or long pants/track pants
• sneakers
