Tuition Agreement

Please note: This form must be completed with the student's name and additional information. It must include parent details at the bottom. When you send this completed agreement to Chilton, it means that you agree to all the terms and conditions even if it does not have your written signature.

- The School shall provide tuition to the student in accordance with the New Zealand Ministry of Education Guidelines and the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students in return for an annual tuition fee of $NZ19,000 including Government Service Tax.
- The student shall comply with the rules and policies of the School and the Law of New Zealand.
- The Parents irrevocably authorize the Principal or her representatives to advise homestay families of all matters concerning the Student and to receive information from the hometay family in matters regarding the Student.
- The Parents and the Student agree that the Student shall remain in homestay accommodation for the length of her enrolment at Chilton Saint James School.
- The Parents agree to provide a true and valid account of all academic, medical or other information including contact details that the School may request.
- The School will use its best endeavours to protect the wellbeing of the Student but will not be responsible for harm or damage caused to or by the Student.
- It is acknowledged that all relevant sections of the Education Act of 1989 and the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students will be adhered to by the School at all times. Any decision to exclude a student will be taken under the terms of the Act; in so doing, the terms of the Contract between the School and the Parents expires. The parents have no claim for damages or for any compensation if this agreement is terminated in these circumstances. The School refunds policy will apply.
- The Parents acknowledge that they have read and understood the School Refunds Policy, the compulsory requirement of Insurance, the Immigration Regulations, the Internal and External Grievance Procedures, the Academic Entrance Procedures and the School's Termination and Withdrawal procedures.
- This Contract will take effect in New Zealand and will be governed by New Zealand law.
- All personal information gathered about the Student will be held in the Student file. The Student and her Parents have the right to access this file under the Privacy Act 1993.
- Chilton Saint James School reserves the right to terminate tuition if the Student does not complete course requirements or pay tuition fees.
- Terms and Conditions are intended to be read in English, the governing version is the English version.
- Chilton Saint James School reserves the right to amend the Tuition agreement and fees after consulting with parents in a two month time frame.
- The parents or legal guardians of the Student authorize staff of the School to:
- Receive Information from any person, authority or corporate bodyconcerning the Student including, but not limited to, medical,educational and welfare information. Charge the parents for any coststhat may incur for special needs services not disclosed on enrolment.
- Receive financial information relating to the Student including bank account details, debt and / or income of the Student.
- Provide consents in respect of any activity carried out and authorized by the School
- Provide consent for student information to be passed to anydepartment of the School, the Immigration Service and student's approved agent.
- Provide necessary consents on behalf of the Student in the eventof a medical emergency where it is not reasonably practical or timelyto contact the Parents.
