In between each School term, students have a two–week holiday. After Term Four each year most international students return home over the six–week holiday. Some students decide to enjoy a New Zealand Christmas and summer holiday with their host families.
This varies according to the programme followed. For students in the cultural and the integrated academic programmes, tuition is given between 8.30am and 3.30pm every day. For those in the focussed academic programmes, tuition continues every day until 5.00pm. Time is available after the tuition programme for co-curricular activities such as music and sport.
