Cultural programmes are available for students who wish to experience life in a New Zealand school without seeking formal academic qualifications.
Chilton accepts students from age 10 upwards for short term stays of between one and three months, often in the student's own summer holidays.
Girls join a class with New Zealand girls close to their own age and follow their programme. Extra English lessons are provided to match the needs of the visiting student. Students stay in homestay accommodation and experience New Zealand family life.
A Beginner's Level of English is the only entry requirement.
Chilton accepts students from age 13 upwards for longer stays from six months to one year, either as fee-paying students or in an exchange programme with a School which has a sister-school relationship with Chilton Saint James School.
