As Chilton Saint James School is also the home of the Chilton Dance Centre, Dance is indeed an important feature of life on the Chilton campus.
Dance is part of the core curriculum for Years 1 to 8 and it becomes an elective subject from Year 9 onwards.
Students at Chilton often attend classes at the Dance Centre after the School day finishes, which leads them to many performance and achievement opportunities.
There are also many opportunities for Dance within School activities, such as concerts, productions, whole School House Music events and this year also sees the introduction of Stage Challenge.
Students in Years 9 to 13 can audition for a Hip-Hop group that competes in a series of regional and national dance competitions as well as other performance opportunities within the community.
