International students quickly feel at home with our friendly students and spacious campus. Read on to learn how we welcome international students.
Chilton's proud tradition for providing excellent education to girls has been built since 1918. Alongside this tradition very strong ethical and moral ideals have developed.
International students are accepted into Year levels 5 and 6 at the age of nine and ten years old if they are living with a parent or guardian (this is a requirement of the New Zealand Government) and into Year levels 7 through 13 at ages 11 years old to 18 years old. The School has special accreditation to enrol students into Years 7 and 8, as required by the New Zealand Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. International students may enter the School from January to September each year.
Chilton will only accept those students who are ready to start the level of education taught at Chilton and who have the desire to study and the ability to succeed. Chilton will never enrol a student who, in the staff’s expert opinion, will struggle and be destined to fail — that is not in the best interests of the student.
Instead of accepting all applicants, Chilton will direct a student to other programmes and levels of study if, in the expert opinion of the teaching staff and the Principal, an applicant student would be better served by learning in another programme.
