Most students join Chilton at Preschool, New Entrant, Year 7 or Year 9 however we welcome students at all year levels.
An Enrolment Fee of NZ$750 is required as confirmation of acceptance of any place offered. This amount is an additional separate fee and is not part of the tuition fees.
The Tuition Fee is NZ$19,000 for one year. A year’s tuition fee is payable in advance. All fees include a Government charge of 15%.

The Guardian Fee for students under the age of 18 is NZ$2,500 for one year.
Chilton Saint James School requires that all its international students under the age of 18 have a New Zealand resident guardian. This person will act in the place of the natural parents to oversee the well being of the young person. A list of duties is available.
Some international students have friends or relatives in New Zealand who are willing to act as guardians. If they do not, Chilton Saint James School will appoint a suitable guardian.
The Guardian has the responsibility to make decisions about homestays and financial, travel and medical concerns. The School must approve the choice of Guardian, who must reside in the Wellington area.
All decisions will be made in consultation with the School and the parents and student.
The Homestay Fee is $NZ 220.00 per week. This includes accommodation, laundry, food and pastoral care and support from the School.
