Learning is at the heart of everything we do here at Chilton. We believe that a broad, well-balanced education provides a strong foundation for success beyond school.
Chilton is an International Baccalaureate World School and offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) through the Junior School from Preschool (age 3 and 4 years) to Year 6.
The focus of the PYP programme at Chilton is international. We aim to produce students who are knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced and reflective inquirers, communicators, thinkers and risk-takers. This is the profile of the Chilton student. She is well prepared to move through the secondary levels to become an increasingly curious, collaborative and independent lifelong learner.
The small classes and rigorous assessment and reporting processes offered at Chilton ensure that our teachers understand and regularly report the capabilities and needs of each student within a caring and outwardly focused international learning community.
Academic success and healthy self-esteem are developed in small classes offering a challenging curriculum that includes laptop computing access and specialist teaching instruction in French, Spanish, Music, Physical Education and Dance.
Chilton students are encouraged to make the most of sporting and performing arts opportunities including speech and drama, choirs, chess and orchestra. The combination of a stimulating classroom programme with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities and a strong values foundation offer your daughter the very best international education possible.
Graduates from our Junior School have a sound academic foundation, an expansive sense of their emerging athletic and artistic potential and a strongly based values system enabling them to participate in the world with integrity, empathy and a clearly articulated sense of ethics.
