Term One 2012

 Our thoughts are with those in Christchurch today, a year on from the major earthquake that affected so many lives. The School Council organised a commemoration service attended by the whole school in memory of last year's tragic events. Two minutes silence was observed at 12.51pm in the Jubilee Centre with a prayer being read by Anita Jacob, Worship and Culture Captain.

Due to the inclement weather forecast the Chilton Secondary Athletics Sports have been cancelled until Friday (17 February).  Please note that the venue and start time remain unchanged.

Chilton Dance and Music Centres are holding their optional enrolment day on Satuday 28 January from 10.00am to 12.00noon in the Chilton School Hall.  The Chilton Dance Centre offers classes for boys, girls and adults from the wider community in Preschool Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, Musical Theatre and Pilates. 

The Chilton Music Centre offers the Brio and Cherubs afterschool choirs for children aged 6-12 years and orchestral opportunities in the Amadeus Orchestra or Amadeus Chamber Music group for students playing at grade 3 or above.

Love your clarinet but no school orchestra?  Looking for somewhere to play your new cello?  Trombone neglected under your bed?  If you and your orchestral instrument need an outing, Lower Hutt’s orchestras have the answer.  Chilton Saint James School has now opened enrolments for students in the wider community for its new community student orchestra, the Chilton Amadeus Orchestra. read more
