The Chilton Old Girls' Association (COGA) is always keen to hear from past students, follow the links to learn more and keep in touch.
The Chilton Old Girls' Association (COGA) is actively involved in supporting current School life a number of ways.
An enduring presence of Chilton’s past students is proudly visible in School in the form of the School Archives and Museum. The enormous amount of time, knowledge and memories that assist the School Archivist, Sue Blundell, to create such a useful and timeless record is largely thanks to the Chilton Historical Trust.
We continue to be part of the Colours Assembly each Term (and we are on the constant look out for speakers!), the Year 13 Mentors' Breakfast on International Women's Day in March and in the Junior School Prizegiving. We provide each Year 13 girl with a photograph album to record her final year at School and also contribute towards to the Year 13 leavers bibles.
Regular contributions include providing books each year for the library and for student prizes including Junior School speech awards.
The Chilton Old Girls' Association also sponsors the following prizes each year. We congratulate the 2011 winners of the top academic awards:
Prize for Top Scholar in the Senior School and Cup for Dux – Julie Cook
Prize for Proxime Accessit – Victoria Munn and Wen Qian Ni
The Association also fundraises for specific projects and assists the School when able, for example during our 2010 School Gala where past students and committee members provided much appreciated time and effort.
The Mary Eleanor Smith Trust
The Mary Eleanor Smith Trust has donated The Atlas of the Real World: Mapping the Way We Live by Daniel Dorling et al. Cartograms depict the areas and countries of the world not by their physical size but by their demographic importance on a vast range of topics, ranging from basic data on population, health, wealth and occupation to how many toys we import and who's eating their vegetables. It shows how trends and statistics determine our planet's future and success.
Another important way the Association benefits current students is by awarding the FitzGerald Scholarship, follow the link to read more about it.
