Terms and Conditions for Enrolment

All students who wish to attend Chilton Saint James School must have a student visa that has been processed through New Zealand Immigration.

All students must obtain and maintain health and travel insurance. The School can obtain this for you, at your expense, if you wish.

Students must obey the rules of the School and the Laws of New Zealand.

All students must stay in a School approved homestay.

The year level that the student will work in is conditional upon the results of the English assessment test on arrival.

Students must attend school regularly and complete course requirements in order for them to keep their place and fulfill the conditions of their student visa.

All students under the age of 18 must have a guardian resident in the local area.
Refunds Policy
-
The enrolment fee is non refundable.

If a student is not granted a visa the tuition fee and any paid homestay fee will be refunded.

If the withdrawal is prior to the student coming to New Zealand the fees paid will be refunded after the deduction of an administration fee of NZ$250.00.

If the student withdraws after a place has been accepted but less than two weeks prior to her indicated arrival date an administration fee of NZ$1000.00 will be deducted.

Once a student has begun her course of study at Chilton, refunds will only be made in exceptional circumstances and then only partial refunds will be made.

No refund will be made if a student has passed the half way point of her course.

No refunds will be paid if the student is asked to leave the School by the Board of Trustees because of misbehaviour.

No refunds will be made if a student wishes to transfer to another school or educational institution.

No refunds will be made if a student acquires permanent residence after having enrolled in the School.

No refunds will be made if a student returns home during her course unless there is an exceptional circumstance.

No refunds will be made because a student has financial difficulties.

Unused homestay fees will be refunded.

All refund requests must be made in writing by the Parent or Legal Guardian, allowing four weeks notice.

No refund of fees will be paid directly to the student.
