Building Excellence
The Centennial Development Plan
The Board of Trustees of Chilton Saint James School is planning to modernise and redevelop the Waterloo Road campus. The intention is to optimise our students' learning environment. The Centennial Development Plan is based on the current maximum School roll.
The redevelopment of the campus is a long-term programme that will take place in several stages over the next fifteen years or so. The first stage is for advanced information technology, science and library facilities.
The long term plan provides for improved student social spaces, staff and administration, fit for purpose dance and music facilities and a space which can be used as a chapel. The full long-term plan is shown in the attached pdf file. Masterplan
The Board and Management have developed a detailed, long term financial plan for the School. Our funding of projects within the Centennial Development Plan will take into account the current financial capacity of the school and inter-generational fairness. As a result we will be both borrowing and fundraising.
We are pleased to report that phase one of our development plan - facilities for science, technology and information technology - has commenced in March 2009.
The timing of later stages of the development will be dependent on succesful fundraising and the economic environment.
