Performing Arts
Many opportunities are provided for students in the area of Performing Arts. We offer an extensive itinerant music programme with over 25 tutors teaching a wide variety of instruments, singing, speech and drama. Click here to see some of our recent successes in the area of Performing Arts.
Dance
In performance, the Chilton Dance Centre provides classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary and pilates for students from preschool to adult. In an internationally competitive art, Chilton Dance Centre students regularly win placement in New Zealand School of Dance Programmes and competitions while achieving excellent examination results.
Choir
Nationally and internationally recognised, Chilton's choral programme involves students at every level in the school. Chilton's premier choir Seraphim and I See Red are both among the top 16 choirs in New Zealand. In 2007, the Czech Republic and England hosted performances by the Seraphim choir.
Sporting
Maintaining their reputation for quality performance in both team and individual competition, Chilton students are competitive at local, national and international levels. Recent achievements are outstanding.
