Scholarships for Chilton

Applications for 2011 scholarships will be available from the school office, or by emailing the Registrar lwhitelaw@chilton.school.nz from Friday 23 April 2010.  The deadline for applications is Friday 14 May 2010.

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are available to students entering Years 7, 9, and 12 in the following year.  These scholarships are aimed at academically able students.  They are awarded on the basis of examination and Principal's interview in May/June each year.  

Sports and Performing Arts Scholarships

Skills Scholarships are available to students entering Year 9.  One scholarship is available in the sports area and one in the performing arts area.  These scholarships are for a period of three years.  Further scholarships are offered at Year 12. 

Suzanne Duncan Awards

Suzanne Duncan Awards are offered through St James Church by the Suzanne Duncan Trust Board.  These are available to students who are regular and active members of St James Church.  They are awarded from Year 7 onwards according to set criteria.  For details of these scholarships, please contact St James Church.

International scholarships

Scholarships may be awarded to international students who, in the opinion of the school, have met the criteria for academic excellence expected by Chilton in their own country.
