Travel to ChiltonThe school is very conveniently located close to public bus and train services. Girls travel by train to and from Upper Hutt stopping at all stations along the way. The Waterloo Interchange is ten minutes’ walk from the school.
Students who live in Wellington and the inner city suburbs travel by commuter train and walk to and from the School. Travellers from Wainuiomata use a public bus to the Waterloo Interchange in the mornings. In the afternoons, this bus stops by the school on Waterloo Road.
Other buses stop at the Westfield Shopping Mall, which is located in central Lower Hutt, ten minutes’ walk from the school.
Girls who live in Eastbourne and the Bays access the public bus service operated by City Line Bus Company which brings them to and from the School.
Girls travelling from Whitby, Paremata, Plimmerton, Papakowhai and Pauatahanui districts use the Runciman Motors buses which service both Chilton Saint James and Hutt International Boys’ School pupils. In the mornings these buses pick up the girls from the nearest public bus stop to their home and provide a ’to the door’ service for each school.
Runciman Motors also provide a bus service from Upper Hutt, Silverstream, and Stokes Valley, thus providing pupils in these districts with the choice of either bus or train travel.
For Kapiti Coast students, the Runciman Service to and from Plimmerton meets the train from Kapiti at Plimmerton for easy connections.
The Community Coach company provides a service around the Belmont Hill area and comes direct to the School.
