Extending study opportunities at Year 9 level

At Year 9 level, students substantiate their core study subjects and have the opportunity to focus on known strengths and explore new areas through the elective programme.

They begin to focus their future academic choices with a guided introduction to study options.

The core curriculum includes:
 

• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Sciences including Religious Education
• Health and Physical Education.

Students then have three choices from:

• Art
• Dance
• Drama
• French or Advanced French
• German
• Information and Communications Technology
• Materials Technology
• Music
• Spanish.
