There are opportunities for Primary and Secondary students to come together for a House Music competition each year as well as Primary and Secondary Arts Mentoring programmes.

Chilton has an extensive extra-curricular programme lead by outstanding itinerant tutors. This provides students with a well-rounded education by offering a colourful variety of activities catering to a wide spectrum of interests.

The Chilton Dance Centre and Chilton’s Music and Performing Arts, both has an established track-record of excellence and high levels of participation by both Chilton students and boys and girls from the wider community. Activities open to boys and the wider community include The Amabile and Amadeus Orchestras and the Brio Choir.

Students are encouraged to take part in a range of musical groups including auditioned and non-auditioned choirs, the Chilton Amadeus Orchestra and many smaller musical ensembles including rock bands and drum corps.

Regular performance opportunities occur throughout the year such as year group showcase concerts (including Junior High Flyers and Rising Stars concerts), Young Musicians concerts, community performance opportunities, inter school competitions, weekly school assemblies, itinerant tutor recitals and School religious services at Wellington Cathedral
