Chilton students enjoy the opportunity to take part in school productions and a regular cycle of events allows for both large scale musicals and plays to be performed by all areas of the school every year.
Years 7 – 13 Chilton students actively take part in the regional student-led Stage Challenge production, winning the 2014 Wellington Stage Challenge with ‘Change is in the Bag’. The 2014 Chilton theme for the Challenge highlighted the impact of rubbish on our environment.
Student directed excerpts regularly enter the Wellington Sheilah Winn competition and many performers take the opportunity to take part in other secondary boys’ school’s productions. In 2014 students contributed to St Patrick’s College Town production of Guys and Dolls.
All students have the opportunity to develop their dramatic skills within the annual House Music competition. This competition is student led over the course of three weeks of practice culminating in an exciting and competitive afternoon of House performances.
